This Ralph Rapson home underwent an extreme face lift from acclaimed architect Charles Stinson and the landscape demanded nothing less. Designed by Urban Ecosystems this landscape brought the natural environment intimately close to this “cube in the forest”
Lake Minnetonka has offered many landscape opportunities but nothing like this one! Over many years we have been able to manipulate this site to create a landscape as unique as the house it surrounds. From the newly installed plank driveway, to the steel work, and all of the moments between, there is no shortage of eye catching spaces around this site.
This dream landscape is a product of the residence it materializes from. The residence itself is coming out of the existing ground contours in horizontal layers, both inclining and declining, so naturally the landscape fits these cascading effects.
This is Bang Brewery in St. Paul, MN. We have been working on this site for the past 2 years implementing stormwater management practices with pavilions and seating. There is over 2000 sf of raingardens and 3000 sf of prairie space. The granite pavers are re-purposed St. Paul street cobbles that were sorted, cleaned and installated. The corrugated aluminum pavilion has offered an extention of the brewery bin and was installed in one piece!
Welcome to Children's Dental Services, a non-profit that was a recipient of a Mississippi Watershed Management Organization grant. The project was designed by Urban Ecosystems and installed by Nelco Landscaping. The now contains 4200 sf of permeable pavers and over 450 yards of granite and traps stone collecting most of the runoff on site.
This is a residential courtyard project combining all shapes and sizes of Fond du lac stone with the elegant placement of a steel water feature for a tranquil setting deep in the woods of North oaks. The site as a steep slope with little to no access. Great viewsheds of this waterfall!
